Moving bodies, hands in the air, and constant cheering. Three ways to describe the Four year anniversary of The Ice Haus, on July 13th.
Part of The Ice Haus’s celebration , of course live entertainment was not forgotten. Utahs’ local punk pop band “Saving Sydney” took over the evening headlining, with support from “My New Mistress” and “LSDO” for a night of headbanging and good vibes. The Ice Haus was no new environment for any of these artists.
Fellow locals LSDO, and My New Mistress rocked the floor, gathering the attention of al the Ice Haus customers, (as both acts took all the energy since the start) preparing the house for Saving Sydney. Producers of KBER 101 took the spotlight at times to welcome the acts, and thank everyone for attending the celebration.
Soon enough, Saving Sydney closed out the event. Lead vocalist and bass player Spencer Wolford, took the microphone to greet those attending and to start off their set, opening with their single “False Promises” and soon enough they covered “So Long, Astoria” by The Ataris. Throughout the night co-vocalist and guitarist, Nic Calacino joked around, gaining laughs throughout the venue and keeping the energy high, alongside Marc Healey (guitar) and Jared Bailey (drums). The band got personal with the crowd and made sure they all were having a good time.

The evening came to a close as some were playing pool upstairs or enjoying some food and drinks, everyone had their full attention on Saving Sydney, enjoying their Saturday night. As the band closed out, they performed a cover of “Basket Case” by Green Day, followed by their hit single on spotify, “Thief”
The 4 year celebration of The Ice Haus was a major victory, striving for more successful years providing entertainment such as Saving Sydney for all of those punk rockers who are always open for a good night.
